A New Season Begins with Rally Day

9/11 (Sat) Barbara Brown Taylor
Mark your calendars now for "Sabbath, the Sacred Art of Stopping," on Saturday, September 11, at the Cathedral of St. Philip. Barbara Brown Taylor will share a chapter on Sabbath from her newest book, An Altar in the World, and participants will listen, discuss and reflect on the meaning of Sabbath in their lives. The morning will conclude with Noon Day Prayer and a homily given by Barbara Brown Taylor. 9/12 (Sun) The Reverend Canon Richard Callaway to Hold Forum This Sunday
We welcome the Reverend Canon Richard Callaway to Holy Trinity Parish this Sunday morning. He is the Canon to the Ordinary in the Diocese of Atlanta and is responsible for overseeing parishes in transition. After preaching and celebrating at the 8:00 a.m. service, Canon Calloway will hold a forum at 9:15 a.m. in the chapel (not Tisdale Hall) to discuss the search process for our next rector. We encourage everyone to attend this important forum. Canon Callaway will also be our guest preacher at the 10:30 a.m. service.

9/15 (Wed) Handbell Choir
On Wednesday, September 15, the Holy Trinity Parish Handbell Choir will have its first rehearsal of the fall. If you are 12 or over (even much over) and can read music and count to 4, we welcome you to join the ringers. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 5:00–6:00 p.m. in the Sue Hall Choir Room. 9/15 (Wed) Education for Ministry
Beginning September 15, Education for Ministry (EfM) will meet weekly at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings in the Gaylord room. EfM, designed for lay persons interested in deepening their spiritual journeys, includes an exploration of the Bible, church history and theology, and the group process of theological reflection. Joe Pearson will be available this Sunday to answer questions about EfM. Come find out more in Tisdale Hall following the 8:00 a.m. service, and in the library following the 10:30 a.m. service.
